Microsoft Certified Product Specialists

The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) program provides the best method to prove your command of current Microsoft products and technologies. For individuals who would like to demonstrate their expertise with a particular Microsoft product, Microsoft offers the Microsoft Certified Product Specialist (MCPS) credential. Microsoft Certified Product Specialists have demonstrated in-depth knowledge of at least one Microsoft operating system. Candidates may pass additional Microsoft certification exams to further qualify their skills with Microsoft® BackOffice products, development tools, or desktop applications.

To become a Microsoft Certified Product Specialist, you must pass one or more rigorous certification exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. These exams are developed with the input of professionals in the industry and reflect how Microsoft products are used in organizations throughout the world. The exams are administered by an independent organization—Sylvan Prometric™—at more than 800 Authorized Prometric Testing Centers around the world.
